cSoc stands for Community Social Sciences (cSoc) Online Course. and the aim of this course is to build a community of online learning, provide a space for people who are interested in doing social science research to share what they’ve learned and get feedback from their peers, while at the same time demystifying social science research as well as providing tips on how to conduct a study.

This course highlights the value of a single-threaded application, it teaches you how to handle threading errors, handle multiple streams and system messages, schedule tasks and interact with the file system and other processes. You will also learn about types of threads, malloc memory allocation, process scheduling and thread synchronization techniques.

Legal Requirement

Construction workers are required to go through the course before they start work. The Workplace Safety and Health (Factories ,Safety Training Courses order – clause 2 (6)) stipulates “Any worker employed in manual labour to carry out construction work in building and engineering construction worksites must undergo a safety and health training course approved by the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health”.

For Whom

Construction Safety Orientation Course Recertification Assessment is a mandatory assessment for all workers who are willing to renew their CSOC or ACS to continue to work in construction site.

Assumed Skills, Knowledge & Entry Requirement

  • Participants must possess a valid CSOC / ACS, to be eligible to attend the CSOC recertification assessment.
  • Participants are allowed to sit for the CSOC recertification assessment once only.
  • If the participant fails the recertification assessment, then he is required to attend the 2 days ACS course and pass the assessment to renew his existing CSOC / ACS.

Course Duration:  8 hrs including 5 hours of assessment

Medium of Instruction: English, Tamil, Bengali, Mandarin

Class Size: Maximum class size: 40

Facilitator/Learner Ratio: 1:40 (class room & written assessment) & 1:5 (practical assessment)

Course Attendance: 100% Attendance

Assessment Advice

1 hour written assessment (40 MCQs – Pass Criteria: 60%) and 1 hour of practical assessment for 5 pax (Pass Criteria: Competent or Not Yet Competent basis – 100%).

Certification

Based on the successful completion of the course and assessment, a certificate of achievement endorsed by Eversafe Academy Pte. Ltd. will be issued to all participants.

Previously known as the Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC), the Apply Workplace Safety and Health (AWSH) in Construction Sites, is a compulsory training course for every construction worker in Singapore. The course will be a good orientation for a construction worker before he begins work.

Under the Workplace Safety and Health (Factories, Safety Training Course order – Clause 2(6)), “Any worker employed in manual labour to carry out construction work in building and engineering construction worksites must undergo a safety and health training course approved by the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health”.

CSOC was designed to help construction workers identify their roles and responsibilities, and understand how to act during emergencies like a fire accident. Through CSOC, construction workers will also learn the procedures required in their work and training, including the “Work-at-Height” practices.Construction workers will be taught their rights and responsibilities, as stated in the employment law in Singapore. By attending an orientation course before they start work, construction workers will be able to perform the tasks required with greater skill. A greater understanding of the safety requirements and health hazards will help to reduce the potential of accidents happening at the construction sites.

Target Group :
All construction workers, both locals and foreign, are required to go through the AWSH training course.

Presumed Knowledge and Skills:
Only students age 18 years old and above are allowed to enter the course, and are expected to:
– Be proficient in the English language (listen, speak, read and write) and adept in manipulating numerical figures – at a level comparable to Employability Skills (ES) level 2. (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
– Meet the required fitness standards.
– Capable of following oral and written work instructions
– Have the required employment status as a manual labourer to perform construction work in building and engineering construction sites.
– Possess adequate organisational skills.
