MBB associate/analyst level folks – what do you currently make, and what comp range would incentivize you enough to leave mbb? Ofc there are non-financial factors, but let’s say everything else being equal (sort of). Suppose you want to exit to startup, big tech, etc. and you got an offer; the opportunity seems decent, but ofc the nature/scope of work may be quite diff. from mbb consulting, and you give up some optionality that comes with mbb. I’m a PL at BCG and got a FAANG PM offer in HCOL city with similar comp as I’m getting now. Currently living in LCOL city. I like the team but don’t want to move. Anyone have success negotiating remote work (and keeping same comp)?
