Check through the most frequent questions below and then feel free to contact us if you still have questions that have not been answered.As if getting the ticket wasn’t stressful enough, now the court wants you to find a driving course to take. Nearly all drivers who take an online course has questions and so we have compiled a list of the most common questions to help you get started faster. If we left something out you can always get in touch with our customer service department that never closes. Does this course have the TDLR/TEA’s approval?
The course that is offered through this website is TDLR/TEA approved and has been for over 10 years. When you take your certificate to the court they will almost certainly be familiar with the name printed on the top.
Are there breaks or do I take all 6-hours at once?
Wow. Six hours at once does sound really boring. Good thing you don’t have to do that with our course. 10 minutes a day, half the afternoon or during your lunch break next week, we save your progress as you go so the choice is yours.
Should I take defensive driving or a driver safety course for ticket dismissal?
The choice is yours. Well really it’s not much of a choice since they are the same thing. As long as the course is approved by the Texas education agency then you are good to go.
Am I allowed to complete the online course for my spouse?
Let me ask you a question. Do you think the judge will like it? If you answered yes then you were wrong. It is against the law to complete a driving course on someone else’s behalf and could actually land you both in jail. In our opinion just having them spend the six hours online would be much easier and prevent a potentially awkward family get together in the future.
What happens if I get stuck while working on my course?
One solution would be to give up and throw your computer out the window but that seems a little extreme so we recommend giving us a call. We are available every day to help you direct from the great state of Texas.
How can I find out if I am allowed to take this online driving safety course?
It depends what you mean by “allowed to”. Our course meets the requirements and is approved as a driving course in Texas for online ticket dismissal and insurance discounts. If on the other hand you are curious if you have taken a course in the last 12 months, the answer is we don’t know. There are multiple online course providers available and you could have taken it through any of them. Check your email for a registration email and give them a call to see when you finished the course last.
Will I be required to pass a test to finish?
You will be required to pass quizzes at the end of each unit but it is the best quizzes ever. We aren’t kidding. Multiple choice helps but having unlimited attempts makes it the greatest test in the history of tests.
Is this the funniest approved defensive driving course?
Well that depends on what you mean. If you are looking for a course that will keep you entertained from start to finish and provides you with a new approach to learning through laughing then this is the driving course for you.
What happens if I lose signal in the middle?
Everything is saved automatically so you have nothing to worry about. Once you are able to log back in, you will be instantly take back to the last page you visited. That is what we call no-hassle from start to finish.
Would it be faster to go take this in a classroom?
Not a chance. When you go take a course in a classroom it can take even longer to get your certificate. If you factor in things like drive time, waiting for a class that works with your schedule and the delay of manual certificate processing, the entire process could be slowed by as much as a day or two.

What is the fastest way to get my driving record?
If you select the email delivery option during registration, you will receive you driving record in as little as 60 minutes. There is an additional charge for rapid processing but you will be able to select standard delivery and have it sent with your driving course certificate for no additional charge.

Our online defensive driving test mostly covers things that a good driver should already know, and it`s not designed to be difficult.
What is our Online Defensive Driving Test Like?
There are 20 multiple-choice questions,
each with four possible answer choices. You only have one chance to answer each question. If you use your Browser’s Back button to see a previous question, your answer may be recorded as incorrect.
You’ll have 90 seconds to answer each question.
You must answer before your 90 seconds run out or your answer will be marked wrong. After you answer a question, you will be told immediately whether you answered correctly or not, and what the highest possible score you can make is.
You must score at least 70% to pass.
If your possible score drops below 70%, the test will be stopped and you’ll be sent back to the index page so you can review anything in the course before you re-take the test.
You have three chances to pass the test.
