You begin your MSc in Entrepreneurship by plunging straight into the world of entrepreneurship as we kick off with New Venture Creation. During this four-day module, you and your fellow students come together to share ideas, form teams and build prototypes.

You’ll quickly realise that your studies put strong emphasis on balancing research-led teaching with experiential learning such as consulting for small-business owners, preparation for joining an accelerator and field trips.

It’s your fast-track guide through the intricate process of starting your own venture/initiative.

The overarching aim is to help nurture innovative and prosperous new ventures with responsible leaders who appreciate the demands of multiple stakeholders.

The MSc in Entrepreneurship places  emphasis on learning through experience, and in our classes you will be encouraged to use reflection on doing as a form of learning. This experiential learning is supported throughout the master programme by a reach and diverse ecosystem which include

Bayes Business School operates on a rolling admissions basis. This means that candidates apply for, and are admitted to, our Master’s programmes all year round. Most of our applications are received early in the academic year. To maximise your chances of receiving a positive response, we strongly suggest you apply as early as possible. We aim to return a decision within 6 weeks of receiving your application.

Courses will close when they are full and notification of the closure date is added to the course overview page when closure is imminent.

For a successful application to receive an unconditional status, all documents must be verified, so an original or certified copy of the degree transcript must be uploaded to the application form, or emailed to the relevant Admissions Officer upon request.

There is no application fee for any of our MSc programmes.

You may only submit one application. However, you may apply for up to three courses, in order of preference, in a single application. You will have the opportunity to select your second and third choices when applying. Please note that you may only be considered for three courses per academic year.

Please do not submit more than one application as it will be automatically withdrawn.

Application process

Once a your application is received, it is reviewed by an Admissions Panel, who consider applications on a case-by-case basis, and take a holistic approach, considering academic background, work experience, and any other relevant credentials included with an application, before making a formal decision. We aim to return a decision on an application as soon as possible, normally within 4-6 weeks from receiving a complete application.

Please note that we cannot comment on individual eligibility before you apply, and we can only process your application once it is fully complete, with all requested information received



We have no set deadlines. We operate on a rolling admissions basis and close the courses when they are full. Some courses close as early as the beginning of May so early application is recommended. Imminent course closures will be notified on the website.

Because of the length of time required to apply for a student visa we will be unable to accept applications from overseas students requiring a student visa after mid-July 2021. If you apply after this date, or you do not submit all your supporting documents in time, your application may be deferred until the next academic year. We cannot guarantee a decision can be made in time to secure your visa. If you wish to discuss your individual circumstances please contact your Admissions Officer.

Degree level

All of our MSc programmes require a good Bachelor’s degree. This usually means a UK 2.1 or above, or the equivalent from an overseas institution. Some MSc programmes require previous study in particular subjects – you can find out more on the individual course pages.

If you are currently studying, you should provide:

  • An interim transcript showing your marks achieved to date
  • A list of modules that you are undertaking in your final year of study (if these are not listed on your degree transcripts).

English requirements

It is essential that all students have an excellent command of English as we welcome students from around 100 different nations to study with us here at Bayes. In order to participate fully in the collaborative learning process, all students who have not previously studied in English must sit one of the approved English language tests listed below.

The required IELTS Academic score is 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in Writing and no less than 6.0 in any other section. Please note for MSc Marketing Strategy & Innovation a minimum of 6.5 in all sections is required. Must be taken at an in-person testing centre.

The required PTE Academic score is 69 overall with a minimum of 62 in Writing and no less than 60 in any other section. Must be taken at an in-person testing centre (online test not approved).




We require a well-balanced overall score of at least 100 and no less than 25 in the Writing section in the TOEFL iBT test or the TOEFL iBT Home Edition test. We do not accept the TOEFL ITP Plus for China test.

We require a Pass in both the Written (Listening, Reading, Writing) and Spoken (Speaking) exams, in-person or online.

If you are not a native English speaker but have been studying in the UK for the last three years, it is unlikely you will need to take the test. Please submit a copy of your most recent English language test/qualification along with your application and a decision will be made by the Admissions Panel.

Please note, to meet academic entry requirements for the MSc course, you will be required to provide  valid University approved English language proficiency test if you have studied in the UK at degree level (RQF6 or higher) for less than 3 years.
