After living in over 17 countries, I can say that having a job that allows me to travel the world is by far my favorite. I don’t know many people who wouldn’t want to travel at least part of the year if they could. For many jobs, particularly the ones for people with a certain skill set such as programmers or designers, there’s a high likelihood of working remotely hence travel is not only possible but also likely. No need to move away from your current position and change employers just to have this opportunity: these remote jobs are out there!

For some people, their job takes them all over the world. Whether you’re a freelancer or an employee of some company, chances are you have to travel from time-to-time. I’ve been doing travel writing for several years and have visited 20+ countries including Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The hospitality and tourism industry is very popular among people who love traveling. Food service, hotel, airlines, cruise line and others are the most common jobs in the travel and tourism industry. Being a tourist industry worker you can have a chance to travel for free or for small salary. But sometimes it’s not an easy work, as many people think that. You will rarely be in one place, you will never know where you will be from one minute to another. Jobs in the travel industry require looking good and having positive attitude most of the time. The biggest point for many would be the international nature of our work. We work with companies based in Philippines, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Singapore and UK. This gives you the opportunity to meet peoples from many different locations (and cultures) and learn things from them. While working with a different company every 3 months is a little too fast paced for some people, this really worked well for us.
