Carnival Cruise Lines has been around since the 1950s. Since it began, it has had many ups and downs. However, through it all the company has survived to become one of the largest cruise lines in the world. With over 20 vessels at two home ports, these cruises can take you to almost anywhere in the Caribbean.

As the cruise ship industry continues to grow and expand, so do the job possibilities. Depending on what you would like to do, there’s a cruise line position waiting for you.

You certainly don’t need to be a science major to work a cruise ship. In fact, most of the staff on board aren’t. The majority of employees have all kinds of backgrounds (this list is just a list I’ve complied based on personal experience and observation). It isn’t uncommon for your expenses to be covered by the company, including housing, vacation days, transportation and other perks you can negotiate at the time of application. Before you start racing off to apply for these jobs, remember that working on a boat might not be for you if you get sea-sick or claustrophobic!

Carnival Cruise Lines is currently seeking energetic and motivated individuals to join our award winning team. Within Carnival’s crewing division, great opportunities are available for those who can properly represent a fun atmosphere of excitement to our guests. Carnival Cruise Line began as a one-ship operation, the M/V Celebration, and is now part of the world’s largest cruise line. I am answering as someone who has worked there for a few years. As a background, I am eligible for retirement but I choose to keep working and traveling not just because of the money, but also for the points. The perks are definitely worth it. I live in Florida, so there is no travel time to get saved in our location, no need to pay for parking or to waste vacation days away from home.
