In recognition of the outstanding talent of many international students, we offer a range of highly prestigious international scholarships designed to attract and reward the best students.

We offer our own student scholarships as well as some run in conjunction with other organisations.

Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

We offer over £2M in funding to undergraduate and postgraduate international students through our range of scholarship schemes.

Vice-Chancellor’s EU Scholarship

We offer awards of £5,000 to EU, EEA and Swiss students through our new scholarship scheme.

Vice-Chancellor’s China Scholarship Scheme

Recognising the importance of our Chinese students, awards of £2,000 – £5,000 are available at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship for Research Excellence

We are offering full tuition fee funding and an annual stipend to support self-funding full-time PhD international students for up to three years.

Cardiff India scholarships

In recognition of the outstanding talent of our Indian students, a range of highly prestigious postgraduate scholarships are available.

Cardiff University Marshall Scholarship

Marshall Scholarships finance US nationals of high ability to study postgraduate programmes at UK universities.

Chevening and Global Wales Scholarships

We are a popular destination for Chevening Scholars and we are pleased to support this scholarship programme.

Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship Programme

Scholarships are available for students from developing Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK.

CONACYT Scholarship

CONACYT offers scholarships to Mexican students enrolling on postgraduate courses.

Fulbright-Cardiff University scholarship

If you are an US citizen then you can apply for this annual scholarship.

Law Transfer Scholarship

The Cardiff University Law Transfer Scholarship is available to eligible students transferring into either year two or year three of our LLB programmes

PhD Research Scholarships

If you are looking to study on a Doctoral programme, funding is available from both the University and external organisations.

The Beacon Scholarship

This lucrative scheme is open to applicants to all undergraduate courses (excluding medicine) from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship

GREAT Scholarships 2022
