Can I enroll in online courses if I reside outside the State of North Carolina?

Brunswick Community College is a participant in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and through this participation is authorized to offer online courses to students who reside outside of North Carolina, including Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you are an out-of-state student who intends to complete a course while residing outside of North Carolina, contact Distance Learning, brunsdl@brunswickcc.edu, to ensure that the appropriate state authorization is in place for your state. BCC is not authorized to offer Distance Learning courses in California, American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

In North Carolina, the University of North Carolina System Office (UNC-System Office) is the agency that handles such complaints. For students residing outside of North Carolina, each SARA Member state has a liaison office. If an issue cannot be resolved through the grievance procedure, a student who resides outside the state of North Carolina may file a complaint with their state of residence.

BCC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Students who file a complaint with the accrediting agency should follow the SACSCOC Complaint Procedure (PDF). Complaints may be filed with the Commission only if there is evidence that appears to support significant non-compliance with a SACSCOC requirement or standard by BCC. Additional Costs and Requirements Associated with Online Courses
If you are taking an online course, please read the following information concerning additional fees and requirements students may encounter.

Distance Learning/Identification Fee: BCC does not charge a separate distance learning/identification fee to students.

Test Proctor Costs – BCC students taking BCC courses and testing at the BCC campus: BCC does not charge its students a fee for proctoring tests associated with BCC courses.

Test Proctor Costs – BCC students taking BCC courses and testing at another location: If a student must take a proctored exam and wishes to test at a non-BCC site, the student is responsible for finding an acceptable testing site and obtaining approval from their instructor. Additionally, any fees charged by the remote proctoring site are the responsibility of the student and these costs vary based upon the students’ chosen proctoring sites’ practices.

Additional Supplies Required: Some assignments require students to have a microphone and/or webcam to complete. Most laptops come with these pre-installed, but if your computer does not have them pre-installed, webcams and microphones are available at most office supply stores and others that carry computers and/or computer supplies. A webcam and microphone are required for tests that require the use of Respondus Monitor. (NOTE: If you are using a webcam, check that it has an integrated microphone before purchasing one separately.)

H2GO AWARDS FIRST RECIPIENTS OF OPERATION ROUND UP

The New Brunswick Community College admits about 10,000 students every year in both online and offline mode from over 53 countries. The institution provides both online and offline programs to the students in various full-time programs, part time programs, certificate programs, professional degree programs. NBCC offers programmes in business administration, arts, civil engineering, health, social sciences, hospitality and tourism, building and construction, and other fields.

The college considers several factors for evaluating the applications of the students. International applicants are required to submit official transcripts along with scores of other exams required to study in Canada. New Brunswick Community College Admission Deadlines

The college has three intake sessions- fall, winter and spring sessions. However not all programs accept applications during every session. There is limited availability of seats for each session in each course. The deadlines for the applications during each session are as follows:

International students applying to the college need to get a study permit for the same. Students can apply for the visa to study in Canada after they have received admission into the college. Students can apply with the Canadian overseas visa office in their native country. The students need to complete the following requirements in order to apply for the study permits:
