Visual Communication

Berlin University of Arts accepts international applicants as long as they need completed education with a college preparatory curriculum, fulfilled with the minimum mark equivalence, provided required official academic records, met the acceptable deadlines and verified support for one school year. Berlin University of Arts offers programs in more than 70+ domains. The admission process is analogous to both International and domestic applicants. However International applicants got to meet some additional requirements.

  • A completed application
  • Official high school and college transcript.
  • Verification of financial support
  • Linguistic Proficiency: The language of instruction in almost all courses is in German, so the applicants have to demonstrate German language skills when they apply.
  • All official language certificates as long as they suit the ecu Framework of Reference for Language
  • A confirmation of the entire completion of the course at the acceptable level.
  • A placement test for subsequent higher level: eg placement test B1 as proof of the finished level A2.
  • School certificates consistent with the subsequent guidelines: A2 = a minimum of 3 years of German lessons, B1 = a minimum of 5 years of German lessons.
  • TestDAF with a mean grade from all four partial performances consistent with the subsequent guidelines: B2 = DN is bigger than or adequate to 3 (from 3); C1 = DN is bigger than or adequate to 4 (from 4).
  • 6.DSH, ÖSD with the typical grade consistent with the subsequent guidelines: A2 = 1, B1 = 2, B2 = 3, C1 = 4.

English Proficiency Test Scores for International Students

Visa Process for International Students

You must apply for the “German Student visa” or student applicant visa (Studienbewerbervisum) straight after you’ve got applied to UdK. Just show the confirmation you received automatically after having filled in your online application form alongside a printout of the study information to explain your purpose.
When it involves visa regulations, applicants are recommended to contact the German Embassy in your home country.
The applicants will be required to submit the following required documents while applying for the Visa.

  • Proof of the financial means
  • Valid Passport
  • A biometric passport-size photo
  • Confirmation of admission or enrolment
  • A proof of sufficient health insurance
  • A proof of sufficient financial means

It is well known that most of the courses at Berlin University of Arts are offered via online mode, so it is advised to the young applicants to make the application process at least 3 months before the course start date. The admission is a long going process and may take around a month for processing of the application and declaration. The applicants will be informed about the admission decision via post, after which further formalities will be needed to do like the German Student Visa process and filling of some more I-20 forms.
