1. Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) at Google
High school students often wonder if they can get involved in a summer internship at Google. While Google only offers internship positions in various fields like business, engineering, and technology to undergraduate and graduate students, CSSI has a summer program at Google open to high school seniors entering a four-year undergraduate program. Students must be intending to major in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related area department. 2. Microsoft High School Internship
Microsoft’s high school internship program allows students to delve further into computer science and programming. 3. Kaiser Permanente LAUNCH Program

Students gain hands-on experience while getting paid a minimum wage hourly during the internship.
4. Johns Hopkins CARES Summer Program
Johns Hopkins hosts a variety of summer programs for underrepresented high school students to inspire them to pursue careers in science, public health, and medicine. These programs focus on a variety of STEM- and health-related fields. Johns Hopkins even offers a symposium for students who have participated in the CARES program.
5. Central Intelligence Agency Summer Internship
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) accepts applications from high school seniors planning on enrolling in a four- or five-year undergraduate program for a summer undergraduate program internship. Students learn about the world of intelligence while participating in work relating to their intended college major.
6. NASA High School Internship
NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center offers internships to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors at least 16 years of age to participate in either research or other experiential learning under the guidance of a mentor at a NASA installation. The internships take place across four campuses in Maryland, Virginia, New York, and West Virginia. NASA’s internships are designed to engage students interested in STEM-related fields.
7. The Intern Group International Internships
The Intern Group accepts applications from students 18 and older who want to experience an internship abroad in almost every imaginable field from business, finance, and marketing to engineering, architecture, and law. The programs focus on cultural immersion and educational growth and take students to destinations across Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America, Africa, the United States, and Canada.
8. Smithsonian Summer Internship
The Smithsonian offers a wide variety of summer internships for high school students interested in fields related to history, culture, art, design, technology, science, and nature. 10. The Met Summer High School Internship

The Geosciences Bridge Program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) offers a six-week paid internship for graduating high school students who plan to pursue careers in the geosciences.
